Cabinets are not just for utility, but with proper care and a bit of artistic creativity, it can also provide aesthetic beauty for your kitchen. So if you’re planning to give your kitchen a brand new look, there are few ways on how to transform your good old kitchen cabinet:

You can start redesigning your cabinet by taking out the doors and drawers first, then covering the front edges of the cabinets with peel-and-stick wood veneer.

To do this, the drawers must be emptied and thus needs to get unscrewed. Removing or modifying the drawers could help too.

Also, it is good to take note that there are two types of drawers. The first type is the one in which the drawer is separately attached, and thus can be removed by simply unscrewing it from the inside. The other one is where the drawer is permanently attached to the drawer sides. This type is a bit harder to remove, as it must be sawed first.

Afterward, installing cup hinges would also be a pretty neat addition to the new door being added. To add this, position the hinge and mark its center as a guide. Then, drive a screw to the top hinge plot until it reaches the stile, and voila, you can now connect the bottom hinge as well.

Lastly, attaching new fronts to existing drawers is also a nice way to renovate your kitchen cabinet design. You can do this by driving screws, making sure that the size will be enough not to exceed the drawer front.

After completing your little DIY project, adding finishing touches such as new kitchen accessories and hardware is all it needs for you to finally sit back, relax, and enjoy your brand new kitchen look.
