This songbird can be found almost anywhere in Australia. Their diet consists mostly of high-energy food gathered from the nectar of the flowers. If you have a flower garden in your backyard, it would be a big plus when attempting to attract the New Holland Honeyeater.
They are quite inquisitive and approach humans. They do live together with other honeyeaters and don’t have a problem with it.

The best way to attract the New Holland Honeyeater in your backyard is to have the appropriate flowers they can feed on.

The Superb Fairy-Wren
The small, brightly coloured bird is an amazing tweeter and is a great choice for backyard companions.
They feed mostly on insects and small arthropods, which means they can help you with battling a possible infestation. The Superb Fairy-wren catches them mainly from the ground, while occasionally catching them from low shrubs.
The Superb Fairy-wren prefers living in dense cover such as low shrubs.
